Thank you to Summerfalls for contributing Joel’s portion of the conversation below.
CT: Joel, have you seen the others? I was expecting them to come to breakfast.
Joel: Nope, I haven’t seen them since last night. Oh, ew! This tea brewer needs cleaning.
CT: I know. The tea tastes like seaweed. Last I saw them, they were talking on the back patio while I was painting, then I heard this whirring noise, and by the time I turned around, they were gone. I thought they’d just gone to bed, and we’d see them in the morning. Do you think they were abducted?
Joel: That’s weird, but I don’t think they were abducted! This game doesn’t even allow children to be abducted anyways, but they should have been back by now.
CT: I wonder if they left already. But Amina said she was looking forward to staying for a few days before the next session started. And they’d have said good-bye to us, don’t you think?
Joel: I agree, unless Amina was the one that was abducted! I’m getting worried. I’ll be back, I’m getting a second cup.
CT: I’ll call Amina’s dad to see if they showed up early at the Gallery in Wolflandia.
CT: You haven’t seen them? Really?
CT: He’s calling Elder, in case they went back to Hippieville. My intuition tells me they’re ok. What are your feelings, Joel?
Joel: Well, no one knows where they are and no one has heard from them. I don’t want to expect the worst, but we should be prepared. But I hope they’re okay like you think! Oh Free-Jon, where are you?
CT: I’m going out to paint while we wait for Amina’s dad or Elder to call back. Painting always helps me sort out my feelings.
CT: Elder! Any news?
CT: Nothing, huh? I keep remembering this conversation that I had with Emelia a few days ago. She said that if there was ever a time when I didn’t know where she was, or where those who were with her were, not to worry. She was talking about The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and A Wrinkle in Time. We’d been talking about children’s lit, so I didn’t think anything about it, but she mentioned something about kids going on adventures and coming back before the adults even knew they’d left.
CT: Really? Free said the same thing? A Lyin’, Witchin’ Wardrobe? Yeah, it is hard to know what’s his imagination and what’s not! But, the part he told you about the fairy godmothers was true! They really did come–even yours! And Emelia’s, too. This is such a bummer, Elder. Do you think we should close down camp?
CT: Ok. Keep us posted.
CT: He’s going to look for them.
Joel: Really?! How?
CT: Through the Gallery! He’s uploading himself there with the hashtag #wheresfree and then anybody who wants to help him look can download him into their game, and he’ll roam through to see if he finds them!
Joel: Oh wow, so they could really be in anyone’s game. I have yet to meet Elder but I can tell he’s so… so… what’s the word, CT?
CT: He’s so brave. Young CT is staying home in case they show up there, and she, Tani, and Aya will be commanding a centerpost thing. You know, command central. He believes we can help best by staying here and continuing with camp and keeping our ears and eyes open.
Joel: Great! I’ll try and search around for any left over energies, because time-space-thingies do leave behind some kind of energy. Maybe we can use that to locate them!
CT: Time-space thingies? Do you think they used a time-space thingy? Em did use one to come back here, that’s true. Oh, dang. You know we have aging off here. If she was thinking of using the time-space thingy to go through some wrinkle in time, some time loop, it won’t work here, because we have aging off! You gotta have aging on for there to even be a time loop! I bet she didn’t know that. And there’s no telling what other miscalculations could happen using that contraption in an aging-off world. Oh, I wish I’d never even mentioned the whole concept of all of that to Bilmonaghan! Look what trouble it’s caused!
Joel: Don’t worry CT! Everything is going to be fine.
ATTENTION: If you would like to help find Free-Jon, Emelia, and Amina, please download Elder Wolff from the Gallery. He is marked with the hashtag #wheresfree. Let Elder roam your games, asking anyone he meets “Have you seen Free?” Include this in your story/blog and tag your post #wheresfree. You can also let us know through comments here or on the #wheresfree thread at the EA Forums if Elder has been looking for Free, Emelia, and Amina in your games. Help us find these missing Sims!
