Today I sent that bunch of emails that might make a difference for us.
Maybe soon you won’t feel so forlorn.
When I looked over and saw you sitting on the couch, all mopey-pants, as Nonny would say, I said, “Hey, Septemus. Guess who I’m writing to?”
You smiled and started humming.
Funny. That was the first time I’d heard you sing.
When I asked what you were singing, you replied, “Sebastionthishappylaladeeforthegrilledcheeseandthebizoopagotogo.”
“OK, Sept,” I said. “I’m going to hit ‘Send.’ Wish us luck!”
“SebastionandmeSeptemushaveverygoodluck!” you said, even more quickly than you usually speak.
Then we danced, just to give a little extra oomph to our messages shooting through the airwaves like flash moves!
“Sebastionwhatnext?” you asked.
We kept dancing.
“Now we wait, Sept,” I said.
